Balancing your checkbook
Do you balance your checkbook each month? Here are the four main reasons why you should:
- Balancing your checkbook verifies that your records match our records.
- Banks CAN make mistakes, but even more likely is that you’ll make a math error or forget to enter something in your checkbook register.
- If you make a mistake or forget to post a transaction in your register, you may start bouncing checks and incurring fees overdraft fees.
- If there’s a problem, you won’t need to wade through months of transactions to figure it out.
Reconciling your account isn’t as intimidating as it may seem, especially if you use the tips in this attachment as a guide. Can’t get your account to balance? Please call us at (203) 783-5700. We’re happy to help!
Reorder your checks on-line
You can reorder your checks online through our check printer, Harland Clarke. Simply enter the appropriate information from your existing Milford Bank checking account — the same information that appears on the reorder form in your checkbook.
Visit https://www.OrderMyChecks.com and enter the requested information.
You can take advantage of the convenience of ordering online if you are not making any changes in your account information. To change your name, address, telephone number (even just the area code), account number or starting check number, we need you to come into one of our bank offices.
Feel free, as always, to Contact Us if you have any questions.
